The community block party last Sunday evening was more than just your average party. It was an eternal investment! The Matthew 25 Ministries team of FPC had the opportunity to bless and enjoy the company of over 150 guests that attended the block party at the BREC Park on Boulevard de Province. There were Wal-Mart gift cards given away, free hamburgers and hotdogs grilled on site (as well as many sweets), a large inflatable for the kids, and Christian music playing for all to hear.

We also had the opportunity to pray for a young boy in the park itself at his grandmother’s request. Next Sunday our church van is scheduled to pick up several of the adults and their children whom we had the great opportunity to connect with for over two hours. One resident of a nearby apartment complex made the remark that in all her seven years of living there, no one else has done anything like this for them. After seeing the smiles on all the faces of the children and their parents (as well as PERFECT weather), we know this event was truly a God thing. As the Church we are glad we had the chance to let the community know that we care about them and are praying for them!
